Delhi  
Delhi is locally known as 'Dilli' and officially known as the National Capital Territory of Delhi. It is the largest metropolitan in the country in terms of area and second largest metropolitan city in terms of population. The city has been actually divided into two parts Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi has the major attraction of mosques, forts and other monuments of Indian history. New Delhi is actually developed in a modern way by the Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Bakers. New Delhi has many government buildings and embassies apart from the Indian history.

Delhi as a city has a special aura to captivate the people into the city. Every year lakhs of people migrate to Delhi to fulfill their desires. Delhi as a tourist spot having no scarcity in the tourist spots whether its a National tourists or the International tourists. Some of the famous attraction in Delhi are:

India Gate- Its the monument in Delhi that is constructed to pay homage to the 90,000 soldiers who has sacrificed their life in the world war. It was established by Edwin Lutyens in 1921 along with the tourist spot and picnic spot it is having the eternal flame that was lit in 1971 to honor the Amar Jawan (Immortal Soldiers).

Red Fort: Red Fort is the pride of the country. Its the place where the prime minister of the country addresses the whole country at the time of the Independence day and Republic Day. The monument was built by the mughal emperor Shah Jahan during his reign 1638- 1648. this popular tourist spot has various houses like Mumtaz mahal, rang mahal, diwan-ae-aam, diwam-ae- khas, khas mahal, the hamam and shah burj.

Parliament House: Indian Parliament House is the necessary part of the Democracy and its an illustration of the British parliament. Its situated at New Delhi at the Sansad marg and it has been designed by the British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Bakers.

Rashtrapati Bhawan: As the name suggests that it is the official residence of the Indian president. This monument has also been designed by Edwin Lutyens and it has been stretched over 330 acres. It is having 340 rooms and a beautiful mughal garden.

Chandni Chowk: Chandni Chowk is the tourist spot that seems to be the most busiest and oldest part of Delhi. Chandni Chowk is the area that is overloaded with the electronic goods, textiles, etc. it is the biggest and the grandest market in the Old Delhi. Chandni Chowk has the original Haldirams and renowned Parantha Wali Gali.

Akshardham Temple: Akshardham Temple stands on the Yamuna Bank and its the famous Hindu temple. Its the largest temple that covers around 100 acres. The temple has been decorated with the 234 carved pillars, around 20,000 statues and number of arches.

Apart from these tourist spots, Delhi has some more attractive places to explore and enjoy, such as Kutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple, some amusement parks like Apu Ghar, Fun 'N' Food Village, Adventure Island, Delhi haat etc. Shopping in Delhi: Shopping in Delhi is very easy and a fun loving exercise for the Shopholics. As the city has heavy number of choices in the city for shopping. There is sarojini market, Chandi Chowk, Lajpat Nagar, Paharganj market, Janpat Market, Daryaganj market are some of the most popular shopping joints of Delhi.
