Trek To Valley of Flowers & Hemkund Sahib

High in the Himalayan range of Garwhal, in Uttaranchal, is some of the most beautiful alpine countryside to be found anywhere in India. The Valley of Flowers is a beautiful alpine meadow located at an altitude 3660m, watered generously by the Pushpavati, a tributary of the Alaknanda river. Over a thousand varieties of flowers, shrubs, orchids and plants in different colours and textures paint a natural collage never to be forgotten. Himalayan wild flowers including ferns, dwarf iris, dwarf larkspur, dwarf rhododendrons, primula, blue poppies, fritillaria, asters, potentillas and inula grandifloras all grow wild in the valley, and the valley floor becomes carpeted in a riot of colour each year after the monsoon rains.The Valley was introduced to the world as the Valley of Flowers by Frank S. Smith - mountaineer, explorer, botanist who camped here for several weeks in the monsoon of 1937 and did valuable exploratory work, He authored a book called " The Valley of Flowers " Which unveiled the beauty and floral splendors of the valley and thus threw open the doors of this verdant jewel to nature - enthusiasts all over the world.

Itinerary Details

Day 01 : DRIVE FROM DELHI TO HARIDWAR
Trek To Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib

Pickup from Delhi & drive to Haridwar, transfer to hotel. Dinner & O/N in hotel.
Meals: Dinner

Day 02 : HARIDWAR � JOSHIMATH-AULI
Post Breakfast drive to Auli and reach by late evening. O/N in dormitory
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 03 : AULI � GOVIND GHAT � GHANGARIA
After breakfast, drive to Govind Ghat. Start trekking from Govind Ghat to Ghangaria (14 kms) Packed Lunch enroute & reach Ghangaria by evening. Dinner & O/N in hotel
Meals: - (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 04 : GHANGARIA � VALLEY OF FLOWERS � GHANGARIA
After breakfast, trek to Valley of Flowers with packed lunch. Return back to Ghangaria. Dinner & O/N in hotel.

Day 05 : GHANGARIA � HEMKUND SAHIB � GHANGARIA
After breakfast, trek to Hemkund Sahib with packed lunch. Return back to Ghangaria. Dinner & O/N in hotel
Meals: - (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Day 06 : GHANGARIA � GOVIND GHAT � BADRINATH
After breakfast, trek down to Govind Ghat with packed lunch. Drive to Badrinath. Reach in the evening to Badrinath .Check in into rest house. Evening at leisure. Dinner & O/N in hotel

Day 07 : BADRINATH � KIRTI NAGAR
After breakfast, departure for Kirti Nagar. Dinner & O/N in hotel.
Meals: - (Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 08 : KIRTI NAGAR -RISHIKESH
After early breakfast, departure for Rishikesh.Arrival in Rishikesh by noon & check into the hotel. Afternoon Visit Rishikesh Temples & Laxman Jhula. Return back to the Hotel. Dinner & O/N in hotel.

Day 09 : RISHIKESH-DELHI
After early breakfast, departure for Delhi, on arrival straight transfer to Delhi Airport/Railway station.
